Activities at the NES International School have been designed to bring out the very best from each and every student in not only academics but also in sports and other cultural and social initiatives. Listed below are some of the interesting activities that are undertaken by our students.
Sports
The students are provided with a sound exposure to sporting activities under the guidance of experts. A well planned sector is set up within the school premises to impart training on various forms of sports like optic golf, indoor cricket, basket ball, football, hockey, table tennis, indoor skating, etc. Every student is expected to participate in sporting activities.
After School Club
For children belonging to families where both parents are working, we have special arrangements to look after such children after school hours. The school offers interesting fun-filled learning programs to utilize this extra time.
Yoga and Meditation
Our Yoga and Meditation Centre is aimed at achieving an environment of nourishment for the body and the mind of a child at a very early stage in life. The students experience, learn and enjoy the session while strengthening their mind and physique.
Art, Craft and Culture
Students at NES International School have the option to take up painting, sculpting, pottery, ceramics, drama, poetry and writing with experienced professionals training them on the finer aspects of the form of art they choose.
Music
The NES School has set up a centre for vocal and instrumental music. The students are trained in the fields of Hindustani, Carnatic and Western music under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Dance
Students at the NES International School can opt to join the dance academy where they are trained in traditional Indian and Western forms of dance. The academy also focuses on aerobics to help the children become more agile to gain a better disposition in dancing.
Adventure Sports
The school offers special vacation programs to train the more adventurous students in activities such as trekking, rappelling and other such thrilling sports.
Work Experience Lab
The school offers hands-on learning / training for students interested in home science, jewellery design, carpentry, gardening, electronics, import-export trade, stocks, etc. The students are taught the values of hands-on learning and the means of harnessing resources for a more fulfilled exposure.
Hobby Clubs
We encourage our students to be a part of the various hobby clubs set up by the school. Students can choose a hobby of their interest from a wide range including philately, games (scrabble, chess), crosswords, puzzles, green peace, origami, etc.
Special Program
In the bid to prepare our students to take on the big world, we introduce them to activities of global significance such as environment protection, recycling, wild life protection, etc. along with a basic training on survival techniques in wilderness.
Para-Military Training
The NES School has set up a para-military training camp where the students are trained in the areas of self-defense, taekwondo, recognizing constellations, mapping and psychological and physical maneuvering.
Swimming
The school identifies swimming as a very important skill and also a great form of exercise. We believe swimming is a sporting activity that must be taken up at a very early stage in a child's life and keeping in line with this spirit we encourage every student of the school to take part in it.
