School Rules & Norms

Discipline

Discipline is the prime concern of the school. It is said If DISCIPLINE is lost EVERYTHING is lost.

To build a brilliant educational career, discipline is important. The school expects unreserved co-operation from parents in maintaining students, discipline.

Given below are some hints on tackling discipline, by co-ordinated efforts of school and the parents. The school believes in maintaining discipline, which is neither regimental nor oppressive.

Students' Council

Students' Council in the school plays a vital role in school administration and welfare activities. The captains and other student-leaders of each class are the members of Students' Council. They propose rules on discipline and also the rules of administering the school under the guidance of officials and faculty members. These council members, in collaboration with staff members of the school, conduct most of the school programmes from monthly prize distribution to annual day programmes. They also come forward to extend help to students who need it. They conduct 'students-training- students' and 'students-teaching-students' programmes through various activities in the school. Through these activities, students attain leadership qualities, learn the values of team spirit, develop an accommodating and adjusting nature amongst themselves. They also help with the starting and closing of the school every day. This teaches them the skills to organize. They offer valuable assistance to teachers in every class to ensure that all students enjoy learning, schooling and living together happily.

Symptoms Of Indiscipline

Late Attendance

On first late attendance in a month, permission chit to enter the class has to be obtained from the Co-ordinator. On second late attendance in a month, a note will be issued to the parent by Co-ordinator cautioning the student. On third or more late attendance in a month (which will be reckoned as habitual), a record will be made in Minor Default Register and action taken by Discipline Committee, by inviting the parent. In case the student is late beyond 15 minutes entry will not be allowed into the school and students will be sent back home either summoning the parent or with an escort.

Irregular Attendance
Absence without a leave note or prior permission from the school, or repeated absence, even with parents' note, are considered irregular attendance. For single day’s absence in a month, a note will be made in School Communication Book for cautioning, if no leave note is given in Communication Book by the parent. For consecutive absence beyond one day, without approval, a note will be issued separately to parent by the Co-ordinator asking for justification of absence, by way of cautioning. For absence of three or more consecutive days without approval, inquiry and disciplinary action will be taken by Discipline Committee. For absence due to ill health, a Medical Certificate should be produced by the student.

We were surprised when Suhani explained to us the respiratory and digestive systems. It was taught to her wonderfully at school using visual aids.
Thanks a lot!

Ayush knows his poems and the national anthem really well. He asks for permission before doing someting. He also enjoys yoga at school and practices those asanas at home as well.

When we were dealing with a unit on communication, Sanika inquired how plants and animals communicate. We were surprised as it was not included in the topic. This showed that she reflected being an enquirer.

My daughter taught her cousins and friends about articles, vowels and rhymes during her summer vacation. Even taught me the ascending and descending order using our family tree as an example. She also teaches our maid English conversation skills like 'How are you?', 'I am fine', etc.

My daughter has shown positive development thanks to the training and learning she is receiving at school. She is willing to help people, she even helps me and her father in our everyday activites. It is amazing to see how she is practically applying her learnings from school in her daily life. We are quite happy with her conduct and would like to sincerely thank her teachers and the entire management.

The one page handwriting practice from the Newspaper is very helpful. Not only does it help my son improve his handwriting, but it also makes him aware of what is happening in the world. He chooses his favorite news each day and practices.

I would like to thank you and appreciate your hardwork, support and understanding towards my daughter. The inquiry fair held at the school was excellent. I found Geona to be very confident and smart when she was performing at the fair. Thank you for giving her this opportunity and showing faith in her.
