The National Education Society (NES), founded in 1963, along with Saraswathi Vidya Bhavan (SVB), founded in 1983, today stands tall with 69 constituent institutions imparting quality education to 55,000 students. Our student body encompasses pre-school, graduates, and postgraduates, including PhDs in various professional areas and conventional disciplines.

The legacy of National Education Society (NES) began in 1963 when Dr. R. Varadarajan, our Founder-Principal, started a modest school in a classroom in a suburb in Mumbai. In response to India’s growing demand for professional education during the 1980s, NES expanded its vision through the creation of the Saraswathi Vidya Bhavan (SVB) Trust. The NES–SVB Group expanded organically over the decades to become a trusted bastion of academics, serving over 55,000 students spread across 69 institutions guided by a team of 1,480 dedicated educators who embody its motto of quality, inclusivity, and innovation.
NES International School Mumbai (NESISM) was founded in 2004-05 to ignite young minds and stimulate their curiosity. Today, NESISM blends the best of international syllabi with cutting-edge innovation and personal development in order to produce assured and empathetic global citizens.
From a humble Bhandup hut in 1963, the NES-SVB Group has grown into a globally recognized education movement. It continues to inspire its pupils to emerge as aware and responsible citizens of the country.
