Unlocking Potential: A Dual Pathway to Academic Excellence

We, at NESISM, believe that a world-class education should not be exclusive to a handful of students. As an authorized IB Continuum School, we deliver the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and are also proud to present the equally enriching, global perspective of CIE (Cambridge International Education).

It is this dual pathway model that allows us to personalize the learning journey to every child’s unique strengths, interests and modes of learning. The Cambridge Pathway at NESISM is especially designed to build knowledge, understanding and skills through every stage. This way, learners get a clear path in academic success from middle years through to university entrance.

Solid Foundation: Cambridge
Lower Secondary
(Grades 6 to 8) at NES.

The move from primary to secondary school is a great leap and our Cambridge Lower Secondary program is designed to ensure students embrace this transition with confidence and excitement.

  • The Philosophy of Cambridge Lower Secondary

This stage is not just about accumulating knowledge; it’s about learning how to learn.

The curriculum is a rich and balanced curriculum and emphasises core skills in English, mathematics and science, together with strong foundation studies in global perspectives, art, physical education and other subjects.

The priority of educators is to grow a love for inquiry, prompting students to ask questions and make connections between their learning and the world around them.

  • Acquiring the Skills for IGCSE and Beyond

Our Lower Secondary is all about that solid foundation-both academic and personal.

We concentrate on critical thinking, group work and time management skills that are fundamental to success in the more focused IGCSE program and in the AS & A Levels.

Preparing for Success:
Cambridge IGCSE
(Grades 9 & 10)

Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14- to 16-year- olds, enabling students to develop their interests. At NESISM, we use its renowned structure to let learners acquire a depth of knowledge in their chosen subjects.

  • The Gold Standard in Education Abroad

Widely recognized by the world’s best universities and employers, the IGCSE is an international passport to progression and success.

Our program, spread over two years, promotes learner-centered and inquiry-based learning.

This means that students no longer just memorize information but are active learners engaged in their education.

  • Preparing for the Rigors of A-Levels and the IBDP

IGCSE is instrumental in the preparation of AS & A Levels. The level of subject knowledge, the requirement for independent study and exposure to formal examination conditions provide students with resilience and academic maturity.

These traits will stand them in good stead for excelling through their final two years, be it within Cambridge or moving on to take up the IB Diploma Programme.

The Apex of Specialization:
(Grades 11 & 12)
Cambridge AS & A Levels

The Cambridge Advanced Stage, which includes both AS (Advanced Subsidiary) and A (Advanced) Level courses, is one of the best qualifications that secondary education can offer. It provides a university-style experience that is respected by academic institutions worldwide.

  • University-Style Learning in High School

A-Levels require a shift in approach, as students move away from covering a wide range of subjects to instead concentrating on a core selection.

It means that students can dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to a field they love, becoming an ‘expert’ in it and having the chance to build up their knowledge before they get to university.

  • Developing Independent and Lifelong Learners

We want to develop independent, self-motivated learners with our A Level program who excel beyond academics.

They make use of formats like research assignments, presentations and corporate-style discussion in the classroom.

This way, they become equipped for the university as well as for a lifetime of intellectual curiosity and professional success.
